Hi Folks,
It's been almost 2 months since our last StrumMn meeting and I think it's time to get together even if it's just something informal. That said, I don't have a room reserved at the library like in the past but was hoping we could just meet down at the Black Bear Crossing Cafe at the Como Park Pavillion next Sunday afternoon and do some playing.
If someone knows of an alternative location please speak up quick and we can switch locations.
Sunday afternoons still work best for me so how about 2pm Sunday 11/18. Can anyone else make it?
I'd like to meet again before Christmas too, any dates that work best for people?
Brian

I'm pretty sure I can make it. But I'm not sure where the Black Bear Crossing Cafe is. If possible, please update the site before Sunday so we know if the meeting will take place or not. Thanks,
George
Hi George,
I've got a couple positives from "regulars" so we'll be there. The cafe is in the pavillion building down by the lake, I'm thinking we can sit in the second level seating. The parking lot is right off Lexington Ave on the east side as it winds through the park. I'm adding a map too.
Hope to see you there!
Brian
Thanks for the map. I'll do my best to make it. Would it be worth while to bring more than one uke in this case?
I'd like to go to this but I live in St. Louis Park and don't drive so I'll have to see if I can take a bus there. Do you know the address of this cafe?
Whatever you're comfortable bringing. I usually bring an extra, never NEEDED it but sometimes other people like to check out different instruments. Again, whatever you're comfortable with. In the past we've had a private area at the library, this time we'll be in a public space. My "nice" ukes are Lanakai's so I don't worry quite as much as others with customs, etc. Got any music or tabs you're working on that you care to share? A couple extra copies is sometimes nice.
The address is:
1360 Lexington Pkwy N
St Paul, MN 55103-1059
jamison,
Is there someplace near you we can meet next time in December that would make it easier? I'm willing to go that direction if you can set it up. I always try for someplace public so that everyone is comfortable, a library, church, community room, restaurant, or even the food court in a mall would all work.
Thanks for the address. I just figured out the bus route so I should be there too unless the bus drivers decide to stike :)
I am a NEWBIE and just found out about the group from gx9902 on the ezFolk forum. I might show up depending on the time and how much nerve I have. I just started in mid October and play tenor.... ROSSJR
john ross,
I just started too, so you won't be the only newbie! I also play tenor.
We're all really low key and just meet to have fun and pass any knowledge, tips, techniques, whatever. And of course try to play through a few songs but we probably end up talking as much as playing. Hope to see you there!
Doh! I read right past the part where they said it started at 2pm... Jamison, hope to see you there. I'd offer to drive you but I am in Brooklyn Park.
Like gx9901 I am unsure what to bring I have two and maybe I'll bring both.
I just lost my instructor so I am out looking so if any one has recommendations I am all ears...
See you there
