That was Fun! How about 12/16?

Hi folks,

It was a lot of fun meeting down at como today! We ended up sitting downstairs and had people thanking us for playing, kinda cool! We had 2 first timers, George and John; I hope you guys had a good time and will come back again. New ideas help everyone.

Lets plan to meet down there next on Sunday 12/16 at 2pm again. Plan ahead everyone and lets play some uke. Xmas songs anyone?

I had a good time playing the ukulele at the meeting too. I'll try my best to make it to the next meeting as well. Thanks!

Are we still on for this Sunday? I was thinking I'd give Aldo a call and invite him to see if he could come....

Yes, we're on for Sunday Dec 16 at 2pm. I sent out an email yesterday, are you on my list? And sure, call Aldo. If he can't make it at least tell him that Brian says hello and Merry Christmas!

I didn't get an e-mail, please add me to your list, rossjohnr@comcast.net

I'll give Aldo a call tonight and extend the offer and seasons greetings!

George emailed me the following:
"How about playing some Jingle Bell Rock from Dr. Uke's site? I downloaded the Christmas songbook from www.howtoplayukulele.com"

Sounds good to me, check them out if you think you can make it Sunday, or even if you can't!

http://www.doctoruke.com/songs.html is the link to Dr Uke's song pages in case you don't have it.

If I make it on 12/16 I'll bring some of the songs I downloaded from www.howtoplayukulele.com. They are pretty challenging to play (for me anyway), but should be pretty cool to learn for the holidays.

Dr Uke's site have some Christmas songs. I liked "Jingle Bell Rock" found on that site. Maybe we can play some of them.

I had already downloaded those songs and I've been practicing The 12 Days of Christmas. It is a bit challenging on some of the cords. I even restrung my Lanikai with regular strings so that it would sound right, so I'm currently getting the strings stretch....

I'll also check out Jingle Bell rock, taht would be fun...

I spoke to Aldo last night and he's going to try and hook up with us Sunday.
